Armour Coatings operates a 45,000 sq. ft. facility in Germantown, WI, that employs the latest technologies for part cleaning, powder delivery and curing of finishes.

Powder Coating

Armour Coatings uses the most common process called electrostatic spray deposition (ESD) to achieve the application of the powder coating to a metal substrate. This application method uses a spray gun, which applies an electrostatic charge to the powder particles, which are then attracted to the grounded part. After application of the powder coating, the parts enter a curing oven where, with the addition of heat, the coating chemically reacts to produce long molecular chains, resulting in high cross-link density.

Sandblasting

Armour Coatings Blast Booth provides in-house blasting for parts up to 24 feet in length. The system utilizes Aluminum Oxide media to meet industry standards.

Additional Services

Custom Color Matching

With the help of our powder suppliers we are able to offer custom color matches. As these are Made to Order (MTO) powders extra time for processing is required.

Antimicrobial powders are also available upon request.

Masking

Masking and plugging will keep powder coating off of machined surfaces, bolt threads and threaded holes. We stock a wide assortment of silicone plugs/caps and high temperature tape for these projects.

Custom Packaging

To ensure that product leave our facilities in the best condition we can package against moisture, dust, dings, dents and other shipping or storage hazards. AC can package parts for easy handling on the assembly line or bundle an architectural piece for a cross the country trek.

Light Assembly

As an added convenience Armour offers light assembly of parts that are going straight to the end user.
